Lifestyle factors
The incidence of lung cancer is
specifically correlated with smoking.
The most consistent finding, over
decades of research, is the strong association between tobacco use and cancers
of many sites. Hundreds of epidemiological studies have confirmed this
association. The affirmation it is also sustained by fact that lung cancer
death rates in the United States
was associated with the variations of percentage of people who were smoking.
The percentage was increasing and also the incidence of lung cancer was
increasing. This was followed by the increase of death rates because if lung
cancer. Most recently, in USA ,
the percentage of people who is smoking decreased. Some people, especially men,
understood the negative effect of smoking. Lifestyle choices cause cancer:
tobacco, diet, exercise, alcohol, tanning choices, and certain sexually
transmitted diseases are the major risks. Most cancers are related to known
lifestyle factors.
There is also a research that
correlates cancer incidence with the lower levels of melatonin produced in the
body when people spend more time in bright-light conditions.
People who sleep fewer hours and people who work at night represent two
groups that are known to have higher risks in getting ill.

-
Thyroid Cancer
The list of common cancer types
includes cancers that are diagnosed with the greatest frequency. The most
common type of cancer on the list is skin cancer.
The cancer type on the list with the lowest incidence is thyroid cancer.
Because colon and rectal cancers are often referred to as
"colorectal cancers," these two cancer types were combined for the
list.
Kidney cancers can be divided into two major groups, renal parenchyma
cancers and renal pelvis cancers.
